I promised that today I'd announce a date for the release of the Beanie Shoulder Pony, so here we go...

The Beanie Shoulder Pony Pattern is going to be available for purchase in my Etsy shop on February 7th. So if you're thinking of getting a gift for your extra-special-somepony for Hearts and Hooves day this year, you'll have another option. ;)

Shoulder Pony Prototype, Take 3! by valleyviolet Shoulder Pony Prototype, Take 3! by valleyviolet Shoulder Pony with New Wings by valleyviolet

There are going to be a male and female heads for this pattern as well as wings and a unicorn horn. There will probably be two or three mane and tail sets, depending on how many I finish while I'm working on the example ponies. I've already drafted the pieces you'll need for putting magnets in the pony to secure them to your shoulder, and those will be included as well.

I love how simple the Shoulder Pony pattern is. I've streamlined some of the pieces and removed a few steps that can get a bit tedious (like sewing the bottoms of the hooves on). They're faster to sew and it takes less of a struggle to motivate myself to work on them. ;)

I finished stuffing my princess prototype today, so there will be pictures tomorrow. The technique I used with the front legs worked awesome (so happy!) but I futzed her butt gore up again. I managed to fix that same issue in the previous prototype, so I'm sure I can fix it again. The back legs in this one are much closer to the right angle, so she stands more evenly. I think I need to make her back legs a little longer so that her back is more level, but that's a relatively simple fix. I've drafted some hair pieces to test on her once I get her head sewn on (I may not get that far tomorrow).

Since the leg thing worked on the princess, that means that once the Shoulder Pony is finished I can go back to the Draft Horse as well. I'm excited to get that pattern working, because his legs were totally messed up before! :)

I guess it's back to the pony sewing grindstone for me tomorrow, but I think for tonight I might watch mysteries and draw mane patterns on my computer. ;)

While I'm doing that, enjoy these other lovely ponies made by talented folks who are not me! <3

I definitely can't wait to get my hands on this. Hopefully me and my friend will have enough time to make some of these before the Las Pegasis con. Thanks again for your wonderful patterns!
