I've seen the recent post on Equestria Daily about the commercial, high quality plushies that are coming to the US ( www.equestriadaily.com/2013/02…
). The person who designed the pattern for them has contacted me privately (I knew them via the net before this, but didn't know that they were designing a pattern for this project; they prefer to remain anonymous). They didn't use my patterns or base any of their work on them. I'm 100% convinced that this is above board and no one used anything of mine, so please don't get upset at the designer, the company, or anyone else involved in the manufacture of those plushies.
Sometimes people converge on similar designs... there are only so many ways to design a pony.

I'm still on my month of vacation, so I probably won't be writing a lot more until next month. I've started thinking some about the Princess Pattern and I bought a paper cutting machine to cut out my test patterns for me (that step is really hard on my hands). The cutting machine can also do all sorts of silly things like cut out vinyl stickers and hold a pen to draw on paper... so my husband is excited to play with it.
The Lovecraft-MLP fan-fiction I was working on was utterly rejected by FIM Fiction (I was told there's no appeals process for the decision, so that's that). I'll probably post it on DA eventually, but I'm a bit sad about it right now.... I wanted to let the artists who I offered cameos know why it may not be up for a while.
In happier news, thank you everyone for the sweet birthday wishes! They cheered me up a lot!
And since I can't sew much right this moment, enjoy these lovely ponies made by talented people who can! <3
